THE event planning has switched to high gear as Salsa Saint Lucia prepares to host yet another one of their highly popular annual signature events dubbed The Latin Jazz Party at the apex of the island’s Jazz Season in less than three weeks.
The yearly event was created by Salsa Saint Lucia’s CEO and founder Dr. Peter St. Rose to infuse some vibrant and pulsating Latin beats into the melodic, rhythmic and soulful Jazz music offering that is featured in St. Lucia during this time of year. This magnetic combination packaged as “The Latin Jazz Party” quickly gained the recognition of the St. Lucia Tourist Board as well as tremendous support from the public. Salsa Saint Lucia is very grateful for The St. Lucia Tourist Board’s continued support of the annual event.
Dr St. Rose has expressed appreciation to the many sponsors that have partnered with them in support of The Latin Jazz Party.
He affirmed that this year’s party holds special significance because Marc Anthony, highly acclaimed Grammy Award winning Latin music artist is headlining the St. Lucia Jazz and arts Festival. The entire Latin dance and music following in St. Lucia is elated and anticipating the main stage performance of Marc Anthony.
To celebrate and promote Marc Anthony and the St. Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, Salsa Saint Lucia has been hosting a series of promotional parties which commenced in February this year every second and last Friday of the month at Keebees Bar and Blu Hotel and continues right through the May 7 and 8 main stage Jazz weekend. The promotional parties include bar parties, hotel parties, after parties and a cool down party after Jazz. The promotional parties are the ideal platform to showcase and popularize the various Latin dance and music genres and the St. Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival 2016.
The Latin Jazz Party is scheduled to take place on Saturday May 7 at the Indies night club Rodney bay. Patrons can look forward to beverage and snack tastings as well as fantastic giveaways. The highlights of the night will be the vibrant and dynamic mix of Latin dance performances displayed by dancers from Trinidad, Martinique and St. Lucia fused with an explosive Latin fusion dance party. The versed and talented event DJ’s; DJ Conejo from Martinique, DJ Bruce from Trinidad and our very own DJ Peter are expected to both entertain and electrify the crowd all night with fiery Latin beats.
