HUNDREDS of fans are expected to converge on the Cul de Sac track tomorrow when the St. Lucia Moto X Club stages its 4th running of the Motocross Classic for 2016.
A total of twenty two of the island’s leading riders will compete in five different categories. The competitors will attempt to hold on to their respective titles on the national motocross circuit. The daring moves, thrills and spills will start from 1:00 p.m.
To date in the Pee Wee Class after three races Kareem Louis on Honda CR50, Bike No. 8 leads with 160 points. He currently has two competitors right on his heels, the likes of Shann Cooper and Christian Eudoxie.
In the Junior Class, Rossi Mc Lean on a Kawasaki KX65, Bike No 46 leads with 175 points, 25 points clear of second place Alpha Burt and a further 93 points ahead of JeannaiDalson.
Leading the charge in Class C is Tairyk Girard on a Honda CRF 125, No. 02 with 163 points, Girard will have close on his heels the Kawasaki duo of Darren Auguste, on Bike No. 777 on 152 points and Devagne Bike No. 43 on 134 points. The three riders mention above will have to contend with Jah-Mallen Alcindor presently in third place with 146 points who has been consistent on a Suzuki 85, Bike No. 100.
In Class B, Antonio Maynard, on a Honda CRF125, Bike No. 85, on 184 points will start as favourite, but will have to contend with the trio of Tevin Calderon on a Honda CRF250, Bike No. 27 with 163 points, Tariq Monplaisir, on a Suzuki RM125, Bike No. 6 with 149 points and Ian Lesporis, on a Honda CRF450, Bike N° 9, with 134 points, while CajCampsell, on a Kawasaki KX250, Bike No. 15, Mac Thyrvaal Girard, on a Suzuki RM250, Bike No. 77 and Ethan Joseph, on a Suzuki RM125, Bike No. 21 will also want to be in the thick of things to collet valuable points.
They are beign dubbed as the “Big guns on the track” in Class A and come tomorrow afternoon the hundreds of motocross fans coming to take in the showpiece will expect nothing less that brilliance when the likes of Oswald Simon, on a Honda CRF250, No. 44 on 181 points, Shaquille Jn. Marie, on a Honda CRF250, Bike No. 11 on 163 points, Bryan Leonce, on a YamahaYZ450, Bike No. 22 on 159 points, Kahlil Charles, on a Suzuki RMZ450, Bike No. 300 on 142 points and DaranRosemond, on a Suzuki RMZ450, Bike No. 7 on 113 points get out of the gate as the sun sets in the west.
