BARON Foods Limited is the title sponsor of a new reality television show, Baron Supermom, which will premiere on Mother’s Day.
The producers of the programme, Choice Television, travelled throughout Saint Lucia to identify mothers to participate in the show.
The mothers were challenged to come up with “incredible dishes” using the internationally acclaimed condiments and spices produced by Baron Foods Limited.
“The idea is to expose mothers who work hard every day, wake up to have to prepare breakfast, send their children to school, go to their second job because taking care of their family is the first, then come back and prepare delicious meals for the family, “ Choice Television has said.
During last Friday’s gala launch, it was observed that reality cooking shows on television usually use professional or semi-professional chefs.
However Baron Supermom will use ordinary women who bring something special to the table with one of the most important ingredients of love, combined with Baron Foods Limited products to take cooking to a new level.
The first seven episodes of the series comprise auditions, in which the selected mothers prepare meals in their homes to impress Chef Didier Leberre.
Thereafter the seven mothers selected will take part in the challenge rounds in which they cook according to a theme in an elimination process, until two of the participants face off in the final episode.
There are lots of prizes to be won in what Choice TV has said will be season one of the Baron Supermom series.
“It was amazing,” Chef Leberre said of the experience of identifying the participants, adding that the show demonstrates the creativity of the participants in their use of products from Baron Foods Limited and other sponsors.
Baron Supermom will be hosted by Sharon Williams.
