VIEUX Fort will host a grand Community Festival today as part of the National Arts Festival.
The festival will feature street theatre, fashion shows, dance, steel pan, and poetry as part of its Vieux-Fort Street Theatre, Arts and Cultural ExposƩ.
Performers include Adrian Klien, ModesteDownes, Sylvester āItoobaaā Peter, Mc. Allister Hunt and Ally Kyatt. They are expected to entertain the audience in an engaging display of talent from the community of Vieux Fort and its environs.
Visitors can be part of the dayās activity by participating in the chalk/charcoal sidewalk art. They will also be encouraged to create a community collage from individual on-the-spot paintings which when completed will be featured in a prominent location in the community.
The event is scheduled to take place from 3:30 p.m. on Clarke Street. Organizers promise an afternoon of fun and excitement which will culminate with the presentation of the film āWho Are You?ā by film maker Kendal John at 7:00 p.m. at the Vieux Fort Primary School.
