THE Gros Islet Football League District Representative and St. Lucia National Lotteries Invitational Football Tournament continued on Sunday with the first two quarter final games.
In game one Beausejour FC took the lead in the first half with a goal from Zaccheus Jones in the 31st minute ending the half 1 – 0. On the resumption Jones was again in the thick of things with his second goal in the 61st minute, while Kenwin Mc Fee added another in the 71st minute. Windjammer’s lone goal came from the boots of KammelDorleon in the 78th minute.
In the second quarter final Super J Northern United drubbed Monchy 7 – 0 with goals from Daniel David in the 10th minute, Elijah Louis in the 12th and 44th minute and Troy Greenidge in the 15th ending the first half of play 4 – 0.
The resumption saw the flood gates open again for Super J Northern United A with goals from Greenidge in the 65th and 80th minute giving him a hat trick, and Veto Lawrence in the 90th minute to seal the deal.
