IT was a battlefield at the National Tennis Centre last week as the St. Lucia Tennis Association Inc. hosted the fourth annual National Schools Tennis Tournament sponsored by National Lotteries Authority of St. Lucia, St. Lucia Electricity Services Ltd. (LUCELEC) and the Eastern Caribbean Financial Holdings (ECFH).
In the end it all came down to talent, technique and mental conditioning. Here are the results:

The tournament closed off with the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday. Special awards were handed out by Tournament Directors Diana Stanislas and Scyla Murray to those who had demonstrated outstanding and extraordinary levels of sportsmanship, professionalism, volunteerism and spirit, those who had shown extraordinary amounts of effort and preparation in their solutions or outstanding skill in training, discipline and performance. They honoured the students who had most clearly demonstrated the spirit of fair play, discipline and respect in their actions on and off court”.
