A WHOOPING 22 goals were scored in six matches played on the opening weekend of the Veterans Football Tournament. Soggy conditions both Saturday and Sunday, did not affect the matches which were very exciting at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort.
On Saturday after a short opening ceremony which was abbreviated because of some heavy rain Gros Islet Veterans registered the first win of the tournament with a come from behind 3 – 2 result over NYAH.
