FOOTBALL: Veterans Showpiece Resumes This Weekend
The Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort will come alive for the second consecutive weekend as the Veterans Football Tournament continues with matches scheduled for today and Sunday.
Two matches are down to be played on each day. Today from 6:00 p.m. Valley Legends comes up against Gros Islet Veterans.
Valley Legends lost their opening encounter last Saturday 1 – 0 to VSADC, while Gros Islet Veterans won over Nyah 3-2.
In the second encounter Saturday night kicking off at 8:00 p.m. Micoud Veterans meets Congorians who drew 2- 2 with Soufriere last Saturday. Micoud lost their opening encounter 5-1 to the Dennery All Blacks.
Tomorrow another two matches are scheduled. From 6:00 p.m. defending champions Caricom Masters plays Prophets and Kings and from 8:00 p.m Lancers plays Anse la Raye.
