THE St. Lucia Football Association in collaboration with the St. Lucia Red Cross Society will be conducting a first aid training course for its affiliates and coaches. The training commenced on Wednesday at the Red Cross Headquarters and will continue on Wednesday next, concluding on Saturday December 5.
According to the SLFA 36 persons are targeted to participate in three groups. The strategic plan of the SLFA is to ensure that coaches and affiliates are knowledgeable about first response for first aid considering that football is a physical game and players may experience injury on the fields.
The SLFA wants to ensure that the affiliates are trained to save and minimize injuries to the players and is working with the Red Cross Society to ensure that those trained will be accredited.
