Windwards Lose Twice in Blind Cricket

The Windwards suffered their second loss in as many matches as the West Indies Blind Cricket Tournament continued on Tuesday at the Marchand Grounds in front of a small, but appreciative crowd of mostly the tournament participants.

Batting first the Windwards amassed 173 all out in 38.4 overs. Cyril Smith top scored with 22 and GregorDamaze 13.

Bowling for Trinidad and Tobago Ulric Andrews took 2 for 22, RajendraRamnarine 2 for 15 and JennsonPoyah picked up 1 for 24.

Extras a mammoth -108.

Chasing 174 for victory the Trinidadians made light work of their run chase as they reach the required score for the loss of one wicket in the 13th over. Scoring for the Trinidadians Rodney Ramrattan 106 not out from 42 balls and Mathew Rodriguez chipped in with 16 not out.

Meanwhile, Game 1 played at the Mindoo Phillip Park on Monday between Barbados and the Windwards was reduced to a 35 overs a side affair. Barbados defeated the Windwards by 10 wickets.

Scores: Windwards – 74 all out. Barbados 75 without loss.
