
ST. LUCIA’S eight member team and two officials returned home Sunday with 12 medals after competing in the American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation in Barbados.
This meet saw the likes of Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and the English speaking Caribbean Countries, swimming to earn their places on the podium.
The St. Lucia team comprised Runako Daniel, Jordan Augier, Katie Kyle, JayhanOdlum Smith, Terrel Monplaisir, Ethan Dyke Elliott, and Jammar Archibald.
The 12 medals earned were 10 Individual and 2 Relays. Katie Kyle earned 3 medals in total – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 bronz;, Terrel Monplaisir won 5 medals – 2 silver and three bronze, two of which were in partnership with the relay team. Jordan Augier, won 3 Medals – 1 Silver, 2 bronze; JayhanOdlum Smith earned- 1 Silver and 1 bronze in partnership with the relay team, while Ethan Dyke Elliott and Jammar Archibald each earned a bronze on the relay team.
St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association now looks forward to the upcoming Goodwill meet which will be hosted in Trinidad and Tobago.
