YOU know that feeling when you have a strong opinion about something but you’re worried about speaking your mind because of what people might say or what the backlash might be like from that opinion? Well this is how I feel about this topic that I’m about to sound off on because it is one of those “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” kind of topics where no matter what you say, you’re going to offend people.
With that said, however, it’s not that I don’t care what people think because it does actually matter to me for numerous reasons, but I’m not one to be bullied into silence.
I would like to speak on the matter of homosexuality and the direction that the lifestyle is headed towards in this day and age.
In 2015, it is clear to see and say that humanity has come far…although we still have some way to go, we are definitely far off from the Stone Age.
We have walked on the moon, created vehicles that beat the sound barrier, cured a baby born with HIV and have achieved so much more. Yet to this day, people can’t learn to live and let live?
I am a spiritual woman and I try my best to live in a way that my God will be pleased with and that includes loving my neighbour as I love myself and not judging others. How can God smile upon me if I have hatred in my heart and worse yet, hatred towards people who have done absolutely nothing to me? Hatred towards people who are not harming anybody and just living lives normally? Because they are attracted to someone of the same gender as themselves?Really? That’s justification?
I too am one of the billions of people who believe that some if not most homosexuals were born that way…it’s in their molecular structure and all in the chromosomes if you want me to get scientific on you. So with that said…and this one is to all the religious nuts…did God make a mistake in creating these people who from children felt that something was wrong with them?
Homosexuality has even been documented with different animal species including penguins, namely a pair of chinstrap penguins called Roy and Silo who were even allowed to hatch an egg and raise a chick called Tango in Central Park Zoo, USA. Are all these gay animals and humans sick and in need of either curing or euthanizing?
I would like to believe that my God would much rather ME living for him and loving all of his children and to leaving the judging to him. I would certainly hate to think that my God would condone me condemning, hating and even condoning negativity towards people who are gay.
There are some things that no amount of beating, cleansing and exorcising can cure and whilst we’re at it, let me just make a clarification…I mentioned the word “cure” but I don’t think that there’s anything to be cured because homosexuality is no disease.
As long as no one is getting in your way and trying to lure you to bat for their team, why go out of your way to interfere with their lives?
Now, the birth of Caitlyn Jenner formally Bruce Jenner is a kettle of fish on its own…one that I felt got way too much publicity seeing that there were more pressing issues in need of highlighting. I also felt that it opened a can of vipers as opposed to worms because a whole new world of “trans” this and that is now being explored including the blonde-haired blue eyed nut, Rachel Dolezal who for years paraded as a black woman and has now made a public declaration that she is trans-racial. But ANYWAY, that’s for another day.
The legalisation of same sex marriage across the USA was another can of vipers that blew open because allegedly, paedophiles are now saying that their lifestyles of being attracted to children should be considered too because they should have the right to be with whomever they are attracted to….please don’t get me started on that one!
Whilst I did expect this kind of folly, which has left me rather worried, I can’t help but feel glad for these people.
I don’t even want to imagine living a life where I’m told that because I’m heterosexual, I can’t legally get married and or have children…to me that’s heartless and the fact that at least in places like the States, Canada, the UK and all so many other countries are catching on, I say good on ‘em.
I hear people blaming the acceptance of homosexuality for world atrocities and natural disasters like global warming…uhhmm I think these people need to get a life and blame the right culprits like termites whose farts make them the second biggest contributor of global warming on earth…HA, bet you didn’t know that!
Look, whilst I’m not a “gay lover”, I certainly am no “gay basher”. I’ll tell you what I am though…I’m a people lover and that’s just what we all are first and foremost…people.
To each his own, my friend. To each his own.
