ON the heels of a successful launch of its public reading activity, the Saint Lucia Writers’ Forum presents the second of its monthly Laureate’s Chair tonight.
This month’s featured writer is distinguished, honourary member of the forum and well loved literary critic, Mr. Kendel Hippolyte.
Hippolyte has travelled the region and the world sharing his art which is pervasively pronounced in Caribbean culture. He is the author of several books, from which he will read tonight.
The event, which begins at 7 p.m at the Castries Central Library, is free and is open to the general public. A financial contribution to advancing the work of the Forum is welcomed.
The Forum meets every Tuesday at the Central Library and the Laureate’s Chair is its way of perennially celebrating the achievement of Literature laureate, Derek Walcott.
