THREE St. Lucian boxers returned home on Sunday evening after participating in an invitational boxing card in Guadeloupe where they won one of the bouts and lost out in the other two.
The victorious St. Lucia boxer was middleweight Marvin Anthony who had a close points win over his Guadeloupean opponent. Anthony has been in good form lately having won gold at the 2014 Creole Boxing Championships and the recent OECS championships in St. George’s, Grenada.
The other two boxers who made the trip lost out in their bouts against opponents from Guadeloupe.
School boys Kareem Boyce and Nathan Ferrari in the Lightweight and Light welterweight divisions who were making their competitive debuts in the ring lost out to more experienced opponents.
