THE Folk Research Centre and the Cultural Development Foundation are together organising a tribute concert for the late Sir Dunstan St. Omer who died on May 5.
Sir Dunstan was St. Lucia’s most famous artist and designer of the St. Lucian flag. The FRC declared him a National Cultural Hero in 2007.
The tribute Concert will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at the National Cultural Centre. Poets, musicians, dancers will be invited to pay their own artistic tribute to Sir Dunstan, popularly known as Apilo.
Visual artists (painters, sculptors, photographers) are asked to bring one piece of art which can be exhibited around the walls of the Cultural Centre during the Concert.
A number of tributes will be delivered by public figures.
The FRC and CDF invite St. Lucians to publicly display the St. Lucian flag in honour of Sir Dunstan.
The general public are invited to attend the tribute concert.
