THE Saint Lucia Diabetic and Hypertensive Association found a new ally in their fight against the two conditions, when they were presented with a cash donation from Lazarus Funeral Home Limited.
The gesture came as the company opened its northern operations on Wednesday May 20 and used the occasion to perpetuate the legacy of its founder Michael O’ Brian.
Managing Director, Edmund O’ Brian told invited guests that its founder was known all over Saint Lucia for being a very generous businessman, and a sponsor of many local causes , including sporting and community projects.
“As a means of extending that legacy the company presents the Saint Lucia Diabetic and Hypertensive Association with a financial contribution of EC$2000 to assist with its community outreach programme”, O’ Brian said while making the presentation to Association President George Eugene. (See photo).
“ This presentation will go a very, very long was in assisting us in fighting these conditions and we are calling on Saint Lucian businesses to follow Lazarus’ lead and assist us in doing our work in the Saint Lucian community, “ Eugene said.
