TWO years after investing in a 6-Star Luxury Resort, Sandals Resorts International has commissioned its new World Wide Marketing Center in Grenada.
This technologically sophisticated facility adds to the vibrant Sandals Resorts marketing machinery and further amplifies the strength of the Grenadian tourism product on the international scene.
Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart says the facility will employ over 120 Grenadians and is the most technologically advanced his organization has ever commissioned.
The facility is operated under the umbrella of Unique Vacations Ltd. (UVL) – the marketing and promotion arm of Sandals Resorts and sees the direct guidance and training for Grenadian employees from seasoned UVL professionals with decades of combined experience.
The construction of the US$1.6 million spanking-new facility was completed earlier this month on the grounds of the Grenada Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) at Frequenté in Saint George’s, close to Sandals La Source Grenada, which itself was officially opened just over one year ago.
“This is part of our promise to the government and people of Grenada when we conceptualized our investment here. We believe we have a responsibility to help with the development of the overall community and economy. Grenadians are also some of the most articulate and brilliant people we have met,” explains Stewart.
He continued, “We own marketing centres in St. Lucia and Jamaica but this tops them all as we have kept the same theme of constantly trying to reinvent ourselves. The same can be said of the resort here in Grenada, it’s the Sandals of tomorrow, ahead of its time.”
Meanwhile Sebastian Tickle, Senior Director of Marketing Center Operations at Unique Vacations Ltd, has stated that the launching of the facility has been smooth sailing.
“This has been a great start for us with everything working well. We are all about top of the line technology, best practices, and continuous training, and our customers are enjoying our world class facility with state of the art equipment,” adds Tickle.
The World Wide Marketing Center is part of an overall investment undertaking by Sandals Resorts in the past several weeks, which includes the construction of an 8,500 square feet Conference Centre.
