STUDENTS of the Gordon and Walcott Methodist Memorial School at Darling Road will get on the jazz bandwagon today.
Local artistes Naomi Grandison, Augustin “Jab” Duplessis and the Gros Islet Secondary School band, along with a Venezuelan group, will thrill students during a concert on the school grounds starting at 1:00 p.m.
According to the principal Ms. Margaret Gabriel this event is part of the school’s music programme and seeks to develop students’ interest and appreciation for different genres of music and the arts.
Admission to the concert is free, but there will be eats and drinks on sale. Proceeds will go towards school enhancement projects.
