THE Mindoo Phillip Park will be the venue for the second Annual Elite Track and Field Club Invitational scheduled to start from 10:00 a.m.
According to the organizers the day’s proceedings will commence with the march past of the 14 participating teams. The meet is scheduled to last up until 4:00 p.m. and will see the participating athletes compete in the 7 – 8, 9 -10, 11 – 12, 13 – 14, 15 – 17 and Open category events for both sexes.
A number of outstanding athletes who recently represented their various schools at last month’s Inter Secondary school track and field meet at the Beausejour Cricket Ground including Juvenile athlete for the year and national record holder in the girls 200 metres Julien Alfred (Survivors) will be on show.
Also in the mix will be the in form long distance runner KamillahMonroque (Rockets), DesrayDesir (Survivors), DesranDesir (Morne Stars), Mechaela Hyacinth (Blazers), Shaquille and JanilleGreenidge (Rockets), Armani Modeste (Elite), Christina Smith (Elite), Nick Joseph (Choiseul), Jeanmeachel Etienne (Choiseul) and Allana Paul (Morne Stars) just to name a few.
