THE St. Lucia Basketball Division 1 and Premier League continues this evening with two matches in the west and north of the island.
From 7.00 p.m. in Soufriere, VBCC Warlords will face home team Soufriere and Sandals High Risers squares up against Combined Schools in Gros Islet, also from 7:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, in Division 1 action on the Tuesday evening at the Gros Islet Multipurpose Court, Lions defeated Maranatha Eagles 71 – 62 with a career high performance of 24 points and 7 rebounds by KFC Player of the Game FabianFlorton. Dudley Joseph registered a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds aiding Lions with the win. Ryan Headley contributed 14 points and 5 rebounds for the losing Maranatha Eagles.
In Micoud, it was a Premier League clash between Morne Gladiators and home team MicoudHustlerz both seeing their first action in this year’s competition. Morne Gladiators got the win in a hostile environment 56 – 47.
