St. Lucia Team Off to U-17 CONCACAF Finals

THE St. Lucia Football Association has announced a 20 man national squad for the CONCACAF’s Under -17 Championship final which kicks off next Friday in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

This is the first time in St.Lucia football history a national team has reached thus far in any international tournament.

St.Lucia will play on the following days, February 28 against Costa Rica, March 3 against Mexico, March 6 against Panama, March 9 against Canada and March 12 against Haiti.

The team is the goalkeeper – No.16 Vino Barcelette – AnseGer Secondary – No.20 – Andre Gustave – Soufriere Comprehensive and No.1 Viannie George – AnseGer Secondary.

The Defenders – No.19 Alvinus Myers – AnseGer Secondary, No.15 Anton Paul – Castries Comprehensive, No.6 Melvin Doxilly – Gros Islet Secondary; No.2 – RyiMaryatMicoud Secondary, No.3 Keeroy Lionel – Soufriere Comprehensive – No.5 Harrison Moffat – St.Mary’s College, No.14 – O’Neal Edward Babonneau Secondary.

Mid Fielders – No.9 – JhadelProspere – Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, No.12 – Antoine Wilfred Soufriere Comprehensive, No.10 Cassius Joseph – Soufriere Comprehensive, No. 4 Zacherinus Simon – Soufriere Comprehensive, No.4 Nyrone Winter – Vieux Fort Comprehensive, No.13 Lael Cherry – Castries Comprehensive, No. 18 – Bradley Cyril – Castries Comprehensive.

Strikers – No.17 – Albertini Phillip -Team Roseau Valley, No. 7 Noah Nicholas – Piaye Secondary, No. 11 Jamie Prospere – Vieux Fort Secondary.

The home team will be under the watchful eyes of Head Coach – St. Croix Albert, Assistant Coach Denis Didier, Technical Director Cyril Podd, Manager Timothy Moffat, and Stephen Regis Head of Delegation.
