THE St. Lucia Football Association’s Inter-Districts Under – 15 and Royal Club Under – 23 Competitions kicked off on the weekend with games played in the various Districts.
On Saturday, two games in the Royal Club Under – 23 Competition were played in the Northern Zone at the La Clery Playing Field. Game 1 featured Central Castries against Gros Islet. At the end of the final whistle Gros Islet won over Central Castries 5 – 1. The goals from Gros Islet were scored by ArmisLorde in the 39th and 92nd minute, Nicholas Lawrence in the 67th minute, Otev Lawrence in the 82th minute and an own goal from JervinCharlouis in the 64th minute. For Central Castries Emmery Edward pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 61st minute.
In Game 2, Babonneau and home team La Clery played to a 2 – 2 draw The goals for La Clery were scored by DennonGeroge in the 10th and 40th minute. Babonneau got an own goal from Alvin Williams in the 24th minute, while Andel Constantine found the back of the nets for his team in the 48th minutes.
SLFA action continued on Sunday in the Under – 15 Competition. In the northern Zone two games were played at the Corinth Playing Field. Game 1 involved Central Castries against Gros Islet. At the end of the encounter Gros Islet won over Central Castries 5 -1. The goals for Gros Islet were scored by DonielBiscette in the 13th and 55th minutes, Gabriel Biscette in the 38th and 71st minutes and Linus Clovis in the 80th minute. Central Castries lone goal was scored by Asau Daniel in the 40th minute.
Game 2, La Clery won over Babonneau 2 -0 with an own goal from Levi Edward of Babonneau in the 37th minute and Rohan Pierre’s 44th minute penalty was enough to seal the deal.
In the Southern Zone, Choiseul and Vieux Fort North, – that game did not take place the Choiseul team did not show up.
Game 2, Vieux Fort South went down 3 – 1 to Soufriere with goals from ZanadDusauzay in the 1st and 50th minutes and Rqueline Sylvester in the 31st minutes for Soufriere. Vieux Fort South’s goal was scored by KenuaniJn Baptiste in the 78th minute.
In the Eastern Zone, Dennery had the better of Micoud 6 – 3. The goal scorers for Dennery were Torian Joseph with a brace and a goal a – piece from Allan Vincent, Nick Ram Joseph, Valentino Henry and JervoniEmanus. The goal scorers for Micoud were KluvertFerdinard, Jacob Augustin and LauronMarcellin. The second game saw Mabouya routing the home team Mon Repos by a 4-0 margin thanks mainly to a hat trick by Denelson Robinson and a goal by Nicholas Leonty.
In the Western Zone, Anse la Raye won over South Castries 5 – 1.
