THE Tribe of Twel has done it yet again – winning the Band of the Year title they first took home in 2015.

Portraying the theme, “Wi Mama MiMatlo”, the band beat out nearly a dozen other bands to win the coveted title.

‘Twel’ also won first place for Best Portrayal of Theme and Individual of the Year (“Poseidon: Lord of the Deep”). The band placed second for Section of the Year (“Sailors & The Ladies Who They Love”), tied for third place with Fuzion Mas for Mas on the Move and also placed second and third in the Individual of the Year category (“Jean & Dinah”, Sharon Tanner and “Wi Mama MiMatlo”, Tanisha Nicky Williams).

Last week Thursday, the band swept through the King and Queen of the Bands, with Augier and Tanner winning both categories.
