100 Women Who Care earlier this week made a substantial donation of $10,100 to the St. Lucia Blind Welfare Association (SLBWA).
100 Women Who Care is a group of women who hope to provide for those with the greatest need in St. Lucia and the group made its latest donation on Wednesday 11th July to the association.
The group meets four times a year for one-hour, during which each member donates $100 to a charity that the group selects.
This combined donation makes a real impact, without time-consuming fundraising events and planning.
Moved by the plight of the SLBWA, the 100 Women, at the last meeting, unanimously voted to adopt it as their latest charity of choice.
The SLBWA was extremely grateful to have been selected as the recipient and says the donation will be used to directly impact the lives of the blind and visually-impaired section of the St. Lucia society.
The cheque was presented by Ms Trudy O. Glasgow, Mrs Berthia Parle and Mrs Mary Popo, all three members of 100 Women Who Care.
