Mercy Corps is a non-religious, non-profit, and non-governmental international humanitarian organization.

Mercy Corps is seeking a consulting firm with expertise in Architectural, Civil/Structural Engineering, and Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineering to conduct an infrastructure screening assessment of existing buildings and make recommendations for the selection of a site for a Resilience hub in Saint Lucia. This project is part of the Caribbean Resilience Initiative aimed at enhancing the capacity of community centres to serve as Resilience Hubs during disasters.

The Scope of works for this project will include; inter alia:

Phase 1: Screening and Assessment, including project management, shortlisting potential sites, preparing infrastructure screening reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Phase 2: Conceptual Design, encompassing project management, site visits, condition assessment, and developing conceptual designs with recommended improvements.

Phase 3: Final Design and Supervision, including final design development and construction supervision

Based on the prescribed scope, firms should have a team of experts with the following minimum requirements:

Design Architect: Minimum of 10 years of general working experience, including 5 years in architectural design. Must be a Registered Architect.

Design Engineer: Minimum of 10 years of general working experience, including 5 years Civil/Structural engineering design, must be a Registered Engineer.

Electrical Engineer Minimum of 10 years of general working experience, including 5 years in electrical engineering design. Must be a Registered Engineer with a relevant professional body.

Renewable Energy Specialist: Minimum of 10 years of general working experience, including 5 years in renewable energy design, especially in solar PV systems. Must be registered with a relevant professional body.

Computer-Aided Design (CAD)Expert. Must have a minimum of 7 years of general working experience, including 5 years using CAD software like AutoCAD in preparation of design drawings.

Completed Intent to Bid Forms must be submitted to Mercy Corps by 18 October 2024 at 17:00 (local time). Bid Forms must be emailed to [email protected] with the Tender Reference number ‘PR077-2024-004T‘ in the email subject line.

After the closing date of this Tender Notice, the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be sent to the firms who submitted Intent to Bid Forms via the email addresses indicated on the Intend to Bid Forms.
