FATHER’S Day was definitely a treat for the families who attended Uncle Superman’s Soca Family Extravaganza on the Dame PearletteLouisy Primary School’s grounds last Sunday afternoon.
There were many activities to participate in, including bouncing castles, face painting, seesaw, and lucky dip. The children also got up close and personal with a few mascots dressed in cartoon character outfits. And, boy, did they have fun with the masqueraders!
The show was presented by former Party Soca monarch, Superman HD, who brought in some of his friends from the soca music fraternity to entertain the crowd. Performances came from Arthur Allain, Sweet Kay, Shemmy J, Sedale and Wildfire, Teddyson John, Mongstar, Imran Nerdy, Q-Pid, the Derek Yarde Project, Ricky T and Superman HD. MC ScadyDotP also kept the children in a lively mood.
Despite the intermittent showers on the day, the children especially seemed to be delighting in the fun day. And with many giveaways from the various sponsors, the young ones certainly had more stuff to take home than just a fun afternoon with Uncle Superman and his soca friends.
