THE future and pride of the nation was celebrated on a grand scale Tuesday morning, as the Ministry of Education hosted the 2017 National Awards of Excellence at the National Cultural Centre. The event saw a number of students receiving honourable recognition for their outstanding performance at last year’s Common Entrance, CXC and CSEC Examinations.

Wee Wisdom Montessori Celebrates 28 Years

TWENTY eight years of good quality Toddler and Pre Primary Montessori Early Childhood Educational service is how Director Myrtle Murray will describe this year’s anniversary of her Wee Wisdom Montessori School. WITHIN the past ten years, smartphone sales accounted for the majority of cameras sold worldwide, meaning that we mostly carry a digital camera as part of our smartphone, instead of carrying a standalone camera. The company, Kodak, a pioneer and heavyweight in the camera industry for more than 100 years, fended off bankruptcy in 2013 to emerge as a much smaller company. Despite inventing the digital camera, Kodak didn’t capitalise on that technology.
