Celebrating a Golden Chef

Management and staff at Soufriere’s Jade Mountain Resort threw a surprise party for their Executive Sous Chef Elijah Jules to celebrate his great achievement with the Saint Lucia Culinary Team in the recent Taste of the Caribbean competition held in Miami.

Mr Jules who brought home the Gold Medal in the Chef of the Year competition was picked up at his home with a luxury sedan and taken to the resort for a surprise red carpet champagne celebration.

 
 

Executive Chef Jonathan Dearden and General Manager Gary Thulander together with his kitchen colleagues and representatives of the various resort departments cheered Elijah to show him how proud everyone was of his success.

Mr Jules not only thanked the owners and management for their support throughout the competition but also expressed his desire to be part of the Saint Lucia Culinary Team against next year! We are sure this will not be the last you will hear of Mr Jules, our talented chef from Jade Mountain.
