Digicel’s Outreach Programme Delivers Care To St. Lucia’s Youth

Digicel, St. Lucia’s Bigger, Better Network continued to deliver value and assistance to communities with the continuation of our Community Involvement week. The island-wide “Back-To-School Outreach Programme” saw donations of school supplies to several primary schools across the island.

For two weeks Digicel teams delivered supplies including lunch bags, notebooks and exercise books to various communities across the island to provide to the less fortunate students. Excitement was in the air amongst students, teachers and principals, as they opened their doors and hearts to welcome the Digicel teams into their institutions. Many schools from the communities of the east and west coast were beneficiaries of this massive programme. Teams were created consisting of Digicel team members allowing for more schools to receive their supplies in quicker time period for this new academic year.

The week long activity had Digicel very enthusiastic about this endeavour as employees got an opportunity to give back to their old primary schools that gave so much to them. The students from the schools were very happy about the deliveries. All made it clear that they would use the tools given to solidify their educational foundation. Digicel was sure to reach the less fortunate students with enthusiasm, care and love to help facilitate their fair chance at seeking an education.

Marketing Manager Kerchelle Jn Charles commented, “Digicel for this fifth year is happy to invest in the education and development of St Lucia’s youth. This initiative is part of Digicel’s promise to deliver value by giving back and assisting the kids in realizing their dreams. ”
