TEF Discusses Local Produce With Taiwan Embassy

BUILDING on last year’s successful partnership with the Republic of China (Taiwan) to donate three greenhouses to CARE, Rural Women’s Network Babonneau Cluster and the Eastern Farmers’ Cooperative, the TEF facilitated a dialogue between a few Executive Chefs and representatives of the Embassy to discuss the Chefs’ experiences with consistency in supply and diversification of local agricultural produce.

A key outcome of the discussions was the establishment of an instrument to inform the Tourism industry about upcoming agricultural forecast.

As the discussions progress, SLHTA members will be invited to participate.

The two agencies have met for the second time in the past two weeks to discuss the initiative. (TEF)
