OECS Netball: Saint Lucia Set To Participate In Saint Kitts

THE national Under-23 Netball team will be in action at the 28th edition of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States /Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (OECS/ECCB) Under-23 Netball Tournament scheduled to serve off in Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The tournament will run until Friday 13th July and will be played at the Pam Tyson Netball Stadium.

The eleven member Saint Lucia team is led by Ianna Hippolyte and also include Jermiah Evariste, Aaliyah Estephor, Everlou Linor, Verne Alexander, Shaneika Paul, Tamara Samuel, Dasha Eugene, Joselyn Hubert, Kamala Mangal and Tanny Williams.

Taking charge of the team in Saint Kitts is coach Donnalyn Joseph.

Six teams will compete for the championship, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and hosts Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Defending champions, Grenada will not be participating in this year’s tournament.

Meanwhile, the ECCB has been the official sponsor of the tournament since 1991, and over the years has been collaborating with the OECS Commission to stage this regional competition.
