WLBL and Blood Banks Solidify their Partnerships

WINDWARD and Leeward Brewery Ltd. (WLBL), Victoria Hospital and St. Jude Hospital Blood Banks have had a long standing relationship that spans over 15 years.

This week, WLBL reaffirmed its commitment to the Blood Banks by donating close to 200 cases of Piton Malta and Crystal Clear Water to continue with the Blood Drives around the island for 2018.

Fayola Ferdinand, Corporate Relations Manager, said: “At WLBL, our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is deeply centered on the communities we operate in.

“We recognise that the Blood Banks on the island play a vital role in providing critical medical care to St. Lucians and we are proud to be partnering with them for over 15 years.

“Through our donation, the Blood banks can actively visit communities with the Mobile Blood bank and give donors our very own high quality Piton Malta which is rich with vitamins and is like a meal in a bottle when they donate blood.”

In addition while donating the beverages, the Mobile Blood bank was on hand for a blood drive at the company’s Commercial office in Vide Boutielle.

“We would like to thank Windward and Leeward Brewery Limited for their continued support in providing both Victoria Hospital and St. Jude with their contribution of Piton Malta and Crystal Clear Premium Water.

“We appreciate the support given to our blood donors for over 15 years by the brewery and are grateful for the Brewery’s dedication and selfless act of service.”
