Arawak Cement Company Limited has increased its commitment to Barbados and CARICOM, by introducing to the market, the company’s newest division within its portfolio of operations, the Arawak Precast Concrete and Pre-Engineered Concrete Buildings Division.

Made with the highest quality cement from the TCL Group in combination with CEMEX Admixture technologies, Arawak presents prefabricated concrete solutions designed to increase productivity at the job site and at a better cost, ensuring greater savings to the customer. Additional features include among others, pre-stressed beam and block floor systems, insulated concrete walls, lightweight structural concrete and rapid curing concrete.

These technologies were discussed at a breakfast seminar held last November at the Hilton Hotel in Barbados, where several members of the local and regional professional building community spoke about the opportunity for technical solutions developed by CEMEX to optimize the process of production of concrete in CARICOM, including advanced concrete technology that will be used to address current and future climate challenges.
