Writers Forum Releases ‘Opus Spectrum’ Tonight

THE official annual publication from the St. Lucia Writers Forum, entitled “Opus Spectrum”, is set to be released to the public today at 7:00 p.m. at the Castries Central Library.

The anthology, which was due for release last December, had some printing hitches. With these hurdles out of the way, the Writers Forum invites the public to gather with them to celebrate its triumph.

Nine members contributed to the second volume of the publication and some of them are expected to read a piece each from the collection so that the audience can experience the true voices behind the written word.

This publication is the second volume subtitled, “Poetic Journeys”. The themes in this collection cover a wide range of subjects, including love, hate, war, abuse, nature and our day-to-day affairs. The first, published in 2015, was fittingly subtitled, “The Initiation”.

The 88-page publication will be sold at a special price of $20 today and buyers can have their copies autographed on the night.

Contributors to the anthology are ShermaCenac-Modeste, Dawn French, Maria Dolor, Kerr Glasgow, Ashanti Prescott, Julian Jackson, Stanislaus Drapin, GyanchandRayman and Kensley Charlemagne.
