IRD Launches E-Payment Services

THE Inland Revenue Department (IRD) last week launched its Electronic Payment Service which enables taxpayers to make tax payments in the comfort of their homes or offices.

Comptroller of Inland Revenue, Sophia Henry, was elated with this development which enhances the department’s customer experience and led by example in making the first payment.

The method is safer, convenient and hassle-free as clients no longer need to bring cash or cheques or take long lines in order to make certain payments.

E-Payments can now be made for Value-Added Tax (VAT), PAYE, Corporation Tax and Personal Income Tax with both Credit and Debit Cards.

The Inland Revenue Department will continue to automate its services to improve its customer delivery and the ease of doing business with the department.
