HUMANITARIANISM is one of the core values that the non profit organization Salsa Saint Lucia upholds.

Salsa Saint Lucia CEO and Founder Dr. Peter St. Rose has expressed his concern for the sick, less fortunate, under-privileged and those at risk in our country. He is passionate about contributing towards various causes in a meaningful and impactful way. The members of Salsa Saint Lucia are also ardent believers in and supporters of philantrophy.

This voluntary support was demonstrated vividly in 2015 through Salsa Saint Lucia’s various benevolent endeavours. Two major charitable events were hosted. The first event, Salsa Saint Lucia Goes Pink was held in October in support of breast cancer awareness and the “Cause the Cure”. At this event $1,500.00 was raised for Faces of Cancer.

The most recent Charity event dubbed “Blackout” held on the December 11 was hosted in support of the Upton Garden’s Girls Centre and the Women’s Support Centre. The monetary proceeds from this event as well as the various hamper contributions, sponsors and members facilitated Salsa Saint Lucia’s donations of $1,000.00 and seven hampers each to the Upton Gardens Girl’s Centre and the Women’s Support Centre.

Salsa Saint Lucia’s benevolent agenda continues throughout 2016 with various charitable events and initiatives. They welcome the continued support of the public through volunteering, attending the parties and events and joining the classes. Salsa Saint Lucia’s first party for the year takes place at Blu Hotel on Friday January 29. The new cycle of Beginners Latin dance classes commences on Tuesday February 2 at 6:00 p.m.
