Table Tennis League Heating Up

THE showdown continued in the St. Lucia National Table Tennis League currently being played at the National Table Tennis Centre Tuesday with Rex Resorts Eagles getting the better of the Rambally Challengers 3 – 2 despite the outstanding performance by Adrian Albert who played unbeaten.

In the other matches on the evening Genuine Parts World Tigers crushed C.Enterprise Hawks 5 – 0. Franklin Noel of Co Tiger was the outstanding player of the match. Rex Resorts Eagles defeated the Total Auto Inc. Dragons 3 – 2, with Rex Resorts Eagles Celestin Samuel the outstanding player of the match beating all of his opponents in straight sets 3 – 0.

Defending Champions Genuine Parts World Tigers handed a 3 – 2 defeat to the Rambally Challengers, with Adrian Albert the outstanding player of the match.

Rex Resorts, Eagles edged out the C. Enterprises Hawks 3 – 2 in the battle of the high fliers. Rex Resorts Chris Wells was the outstanding player of the match. Rambally Challengers overwhelmed the Veteran Jaguars to win 4 – 1. Adrian Albert again was the outstanding player of the match.

Rex Resorts Eagles overpowered the defending champions World Tigers 4 -1, Wells being the outstanding player. Veteran Jaguars doused the C. Enterprise Hawks 4 – 1. With Veteran Teddy Matthews was the outstanding player.

After two rounds of round robin matches the best four teams Rex Resorts Eagles, Rambally Challengers, Total Auto Inc. Dragons and Genuine Parts World Tigers all advance to the playoffs.
