FOUR matches were played as two double headers took place Saturday and Sunday at the Marchand Grounds in the Veterans Football Tournament organized by Veterans in Sports Inc (VIS) and Caribbean Alliance continued.

On Sunday, Anse la Raye who were semi finalists in 2013 continued their heavy scoring in the competition. After drubbing newcomers Desruisseaux 8 – 2 in their opening encounter they again scored heavily when they had the better of lancers FC 5 – 1.

It was the second heavy defeat for Lancers FC after a 7 – 0 drubbing at the hands of the Dennery All Blacks last weekend at the Soufriere Mini Stadium.

Lancers FC have conceded 12 goals in two matches while only scoring one.

In the second encounter Mabouya Valley made it a good day for their football fans as they won 3 – 1 over Prophets and Kings.

Mabouya Valley earlier qualified for the St.Lucia Football Association Super League Interdistrict Finals.

On Saturday evening Micoud and Caricom Masters played to a 1 – 1 draw, while Behind the College All Stars and Nyah played also to a 1 – 1.
